Gallery Hop

This past weekend I attended two shows around LA. The first was an opening at Known Gallery on Fairfax which featured a sweet group show with works by the likes of Alex Pardee, El Mac, Retna, Craola, Dabs/Myla and a smittering of other artists who go by a single name. There was a great eclectic [...]

Moment of Zen
Moment of Zen

I’ve recently found myself being giddily rediscovering street art. The massive format, the unusual locations, the differing techniques all make seeing art outside a very different experience than the controlled experience of a gallery show. There’s something immensely appealing about being surprised by beauty when you least expect it; about finding it when it’s just [...]

Moment of Zen

I’m loving the juxtaposition between organic and mechanical forms in this film by Jp Frenay. This moment of zen is brought to you by Artificial Paradise Inc.

Came across this beautiful short by Terri Timely today on the subject of Synesthesia. The cinematography in this film is stunning and there’s a very nice arc in the story which starts of gradually and builds like a complex piece of music.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted some sketches, so here are a few more. It’s fun going back through old books and seeing pages because the drawings end up being a lot like a diary for me – a visual manifestation of events which becomes a code only I can decipher.
